Trip report

2011-07-09 CAVING: Argyle Cave, Drum Cave and Blowfly Cave at Bungonia
Trip report:
This trip was intended as an SRT training weekend predominately for the group going to Tasmania soon.  On Saturday we went into Argyle Cave.  The CO2 was low to allow us to do all of the cave to the sump but the air was less than perfect at the bottom.

On Sunday the Grants and David went and did Drum cave, including the cordelette into the extension. Thye air was generally OK but was a bit foul in the extension, so we did not go right to the end.  On the way out we were met by another group that had laid their ropes over the top of ours.  This made for some tricky macrame on the rebelays.

The other Hills group went to Blowfly.

A good weekend at Bungonia to discuss and refine practical aspects of SRT.
